Next hold the fire ring up(you can do this because it is on the flex connector) and hold it about 1 and a half inches from the top. While you are holding the ring up, Have someone dump sand or dirt into the pit and fill it up to the fire ring. So now the pit should have the rock work done, with a key valve accessible,the flex line is covered in dirt or sand, and is filled up to about 1 and 1/2 inches below the top of the pit with the ring sitting on the top.I point these rings downward which does a couple different things. First off, they don't fill up with water when your sprinklers come on, and second, if they point up, it just doesn't look as natural. It almost makes your fire have little jets and looks horrible.

Even though there was some hail and potentially a tornado or two, the storm mostly produced Floor Lamps and thunder but that did not stop Central Texans welcoming the storm with open arms.
