Make sure you let anyone your family, including the healthy members, have been in contact with known what your family is dealing with. All inside and outside contact can be an unknowing passing of the germs. Work, school, family and friends will be glad to know (and sympathize with you!) what is a possibility in their homes. Let them know the steps you have taken and let them make their own parenting choices on the course they will take to protect their homes.

And then, the strangest of things began unfolding. We saw Ginny and Scarlett walking toward us. Something was amiss, I could feel immediately. There was almost a chill in the air as they approached. Ginny, dark and compact, wore her typical wide brim straw Cowboy hats slouched down, bumping into her huge sunglasses. Although I couldn't see her eyes or even her face through the mask of it all, I felt her walk hesitant, out of rhythm. She was one buoyant twenty-four year old, who was working on a Masters in Divinity. But she was not bouncing right now. And Scarlett, round and ruddy, looked straight ahead, through us and past us. This was really strange for someone as gregarious as Scarlett.
cap It got me thinking, as I chose the couple of tomatoes and cucumbers that I came in for: All of these people were having a blast in my little town. They were loving our crystal clear river, having a blast in our lake, enjoying our camp grounds, listening to the wide variety of live music that graces our area, chowing down on the awesome Hill Country grub, and soaking up that "Texas Friendly" that we all love so much. They were impressed with the little store that I always took for granted, that I actually complained about on a fairly regular basis for a whole host of reasons, and they were excited and grateful to be spending a holiday weekend in the town that I am blessed to spend every day in, year in, year out.
