The first popular Stetson was called the "Boss of the Plains" and can be seen in the old photographs and drawings with its broad straight brim and high uncreased crown. It is more practical than stylish but did the job really well and probably saved lives. It kept off the sun and rain, could hold water for the horse, made a welcome fan in sultry weather and was useful for waving at cows to herd them in the right direction. It has been referred to as "the hat that won the West".

But wait, there's more! Back to the Directions: "...making sure the animal's entire body is treated." Then, again in the Cautions: "Do not spray near eyes or genitalia. Avoid contact with the skin." Last time I checked, eyes, genitalia, and skin were all part of the body. You know, the Cautions on this bottle sure make it hard to follow the Directions.

Purchase several packages of the old fashioned handkerchiefs. Somewhere along the line we are sold on facial tissues being better for us. Believe it to be, and it will be. Our combined thoughts and prayers will create how we arrive in the next dimension. The whole answer is attitude. Do we see the world in chaos, or can we trust and know that everything that is happening is for our highest good in spite of appearances? God knows what She is doing. Remember to see peace, to see our Earth in harmony, to dream the dream. Then it can be the reality. See all life living in peace among nations, freedom for all to pursue their understanding of God Goddess. It is a blessing to be born into this Earth family at such a time. Give thanks and hold on to your hats. It's going to be a glorious ride!

straw Cowboy hats began their fashion statement before the 20th century. Straw hats were often adorned by those in the elite class of women. Instead of wearing hats to stay cool or to block the sun, wearing the hat was merely a status symbol. Although, most straw hats worn today won't be marking for any type of status, many womens straw cowboy hats are more practical and serve a purpose when wearing them.
